I usually order men’s uniform pants, especially the 5.11 Tactical Pant because the rise is longer than the women’s pant. They have replaced the 5.11 pant with a far inferior product. The sizing is about 2 sizes smaller than the 5.11. That I could deal with. The fabric is very stiff and scratchy (like a brand new canvas brush pant) and the fit is slimmer in the leg and rear. The quality is also subpar. Bummer. The 5.11 was comfortable, functional, and the first uniform pant in many years that I was not embarrassed to be seen in.

I agree that the 5.11 are a nice pant than the new "First Tactical" ones out now. I personally don't see there being a huge difference in quality between the two but I agree that the new ones fit a bit slimmer/tighter in the legs/hips. But the color is much closer to NPS green which was my guess as to why they switched. My primary request is for them to make a lighter weight (aka no cotton) version for hot weather areas. We have a new lightweight sunshirt style shirt, but not a pair of pants to go with it.

I prefer the men's tactical pants over the women's. They have a higher rise and fit better, overall. They have a little extra space in the crotch (as expected), but otherwise I have no complaints. They're pretty true to size if not just slightly big.
